TOPIC: Ergonomic Chair Recommendations?

Ergonomic Chair Recommendations? 1 week 3 days ago #1423308

Hi everyone I hope you are all healthy and happy.

I am looking to buy a new chair as my current one is an old IKEA backbreaker.
I want to buy an ergonomic chair and would love to hear recommendations around 250-300 euros (so no Herman Miller and etc pls), and something that is available in EU. Preferably with a headrest so I can lean back during online classes. I spend time gaming, studying and crocheting in the chair. So not like a full 9-5 but still a good few hours.
Additional useful info would be that I am 161cm/5'3 tall with chronic back problems (injury and etc) so lumbar support is needed.

I have been looking at sihoo v1 and sihoo doro c300 too, but don't know which one to get or if they are good.

If you got any experience with some good chairs, I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

Just look at it, its got LED strip down the bottom, double cup holder for 2x gfuel, recliner for when you want to relax watching mojo top 10s, a tray for McDonalds or other such consumables, something on the side looks like a remote, cup holder can double as an ashtray. I personally have a SecretLabs chair, I got the "cookies and cream" fabric, since it looked the least gamer-esque.

Lumbar support is fantastic, really solid construction.

Only qualms I have are:
- The arm rest material is really cheap, it's almost like fake leather and seems to peel away quite quickly through general wear and tear, shoutout SecretLabs for sending free replacements though out of warranty
- The recline mechanism is not the smoothest, feels a bit like changing gears on an old bike, but if you sit up (enough) you'll probably never need it

Yeah the recline doesn't really concern me, and thanks for the detailed reply. Sounds like their customer service is great.

Also I hope you're doing well, we haven't spoken in years :)
